Supporting Older People in Epsom & Ewell
Age Concern Epsom & Ewell is a local charity dedicated to helping older people in our borough live fulfilling, independent, and socially active lives. We offer a range of services to improve wellbeing, including information and advice, home visits, medical transport, social support, and befriending. With over 150 caring volunteers in the community, we’re here to provide practical help, companionship, and opportunities to stay connected.
Information & Advice
We’re here for you, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 1.00pm. Whether you’d like to give us a call or pop in to see us, our team is ready to listen. We offer free, confidential information and advice on all sorts of matters that affect older people – no question is too small, and we’re always happy to help. Find out more
Home Visiting
Need help with benefits or local services? We can come to you. Our friendly home visitors support people over state pension age in Epsom and Ewell. We offer help with Attendance Allowance and Blue Badge applications. We’re here to make things simpler and take the stress out of the paperwork. Find out more.
Medical Transport
Worried about getting to appointments? We can give you a lift. If you’re over state pension age and find public transport difficult, our medical transport service can take you to and from your hospital, doctor, or other health-related appointments. A fee applies to cover the service. Find out more
Befriending Service
Share a Friendly Chat. Our befriending service supports people living alone in the community by matching them with a volunteer who visits regularly. Enjoy a friendly chat, companionship, and something to look forward to each week. Find out more
Sunday Tea
Join us for Sunday Tea. Every second Sunday of the month, we get together for afternoon tea, a friendly chat, and a little light entertainment. Everyone’s welcome – come along and enjoy some company. Find out more
Men’s Club
Make new friends. If you’re an older man in Epsom and Ewell, join others for friendship, conversation, and companionship over a shared meal. Enjoy social activities, meet new people, and share good company in a welcoming environment. Find out more
IT Support
Want to get to grips with your tech? We can help. Our IT volunteers can come to your home and guide you using your own computer, tablet, or mobile phone. Learn at your own pace and gain the confidence to use your devices with ease. Find out more
